DG Al Purwa’s message:
My Dear AGs, District Officers, Club Presidents and all Rotarians in D3400, I really hope to have your best co-operations with me and similar obsession to have bigger-better-bolder clubs in our D3400. You have all heard your DG’s membership challenge, should every club can answer to my Challenge, we would be able to to have 2500 quality members.

This challenging year will bring us much happiness, if we can all work hard toward our clubs’ goals to be an effective Rotary Clubs. Please start thinking and keep looking at the Presidential Citation check lists and use it as a tool to go for reaching your PC award to be an effective Rotary Clubs.

Let us all start thinking about building more fellowships and services, that will align us with RI strategic plans by concentrating in doing high impact and sustainable projects in line with the 6 areas of focus. In doing so, clubs can touch the Global Grants for larger projects for funding. Let us make all your signature projects as Public Relations tool to involve more rotarian members and participants. In returns, this will help us to get more qualified members and friends to join our doing good in the world as we are aiming to BUILDING COMMUNITIES AND BRIDGING CONTINENTS.

Setiap tanggal 1 Juli setiap Clubs dan Districts dari Rotary International di seluruh dunia melakukan perubahan kepemiminan . Untuk Rotary International D3400 Indonesia yang terpilih menjadi District Governor 2010-2011 adalah Aloysius Purwa, seorang putra pulau Bali yang sudah mengabdi di organisasi ini sejak 1989.

Aktivitas DG Al Purwa dalam pengabdian kemanusiaan meliputi penggalian dana dan membantu korban tsunami di Aceh, membangun sekolah dan fasilitas lain di Pulau Nias, mengetuai Disaster Relief membantu Padang, Tasikmalaya, Jakarta kerjasama dengan Jakarta Rescue, membangun sekolah dan 200 toilets serta project air di Pulau Sumba dan membangun desa Suradadi, Karyasari di Tabanan Bali dengan sebuah wantilan serba guna, seperangkat gamelan, pendidikan dengan project komputerisasi dan perpustakaan umum serta project air bersih di desa Karyasari.

Rotary International adalah sebuah organisasi pengabdian kemanusiaan yang sudah berumur lebih dari 105 tahun, terdiri dari 33000 clubs dan 531 District dengan 1,200,000 anggota terhimpun dari para usahawan dan professional dan ada di lebih dari 200 negara.

Dear Fellow Rotarians,

Thank you for letting me serve as District Governor in RY 2009-2010.
It has been a humbling and inpiring experience for me and I want to thank you all for supporting the Rotary program in D3400.
Whatever we have achieved in RY 2009-2010, it is all because of you my fellow Rotarians. You made it all possible.

Congratulations to DG Al Purwa for serving as District Governor in RY 2010-2011.

Terimakasih telah memberi kesempatan kepada saya untuk melayani sebagai District Governor dalam tahun Rotary 2009-2010.
Ini merupakan pengalaman yang sangat berharga bagi saya. Saya belajar banyak dan menyadari harus belajar lebih banyak lagi.
